How to Delete Your Account

Deleting your account permanently deletes all your personal profile details and closes your communication records. You can choose to delete your account through the mobile app or via support email.

Option A: Deletion via Mobile App (Instant)

  • Open the NorthStay application on your phone.
  • Navigate to the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
  • Tap Delete Account in the list of options.
  • Confirm your password and confirm the final warning alert.

Option B: Deletion Request via Email

  • Compose an email from your registered email address to support@northstay.in.
  • Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request - [Your Name]".
  • Specify your registered phone number and account role (Student or PG Owner).
  • Our customer support team will process your deletion request and purge all personal logs within 48 hours.

What Happens to My Data?

Upon deletion, your name, profile photo, phone number, email address, and PG listings are immediately purged. However, transaction records (for listing passes) will be retained for tax and legal auditing purposes, and closed chats are completely purged 7 days after closure.
