What is NorthStay?

NorthStay is a premium student accommodation discovery platform. We list verified PGs, hostels, and flats near major universities and colleges (specializing in Delhi University North Campus areas like Kamla Nagar, Vijay Nagar, GTB Nagar, and Hudson Lane). Our core value is offering 100% verified listings with zero brokerage fees.

How do I find a PG on the platform?

You can search by typing your college name, locality, or landmark in the app's search bar. Use our smart budget filter (ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹25,000/mo), room sharing filters (single, double, triple), and amenity checkmarks (WiFi, AC, power backup, food charts) to narrow down choices.

Are all listings verified? How does verification work?

Yes, all listings with a blue checkmark badge are physically verified. Our field auditing team personally visits the property to verify room quality, check hygiene, inspect amenities, authenticate landlord identity documents, and ensure deposit refund transparency before granting the badge.

Is the booking process secure?

Absolutely. We mask student phone numbers during the initial chats and direct cellular routing to prevent spam. Furthermore, all payment transfers for host subscription packages are securely processed via Razorpay's encrypted gateway.

How do PG owners register and list their properties?

PG owners can create a Host account on the mobile app, upload their property photos, define room layouts, and list amenities. Once listed, hosts can choose to activate listing passes (1 Month, 3 Months, etc.) to show up in student searches. Active listing passes are managed via the web Host Hub Portal.

Can I cancel a booking?

NorthStay facilitates discovery and direct owner contact. Booking deposits and rental contracts are settled directly between student tenants and PG owners. Cancellation terms are governed by the specific agreements signed with your landlord. We advise students to read deposit return policies carefully before payment.

How do I delete my account?

You can instantly delete your account via the mobile app (Profile Settings -> Delete Account). Alternatively, you can email a deletion request to support@northstay.in and our team will erase your profile logs and files within 48 hours. See our Account Deletion Page for more info.
